20 years on the ICX implant body and abutment — among the longest in the European implant market, backed by Medentis's TÜV Rheinland-certified quality management (ISO 13485), CE-marked under EU MDR. 3 years on crowns, 2 years on veneers — clinic- and lab-backed material warranties, documented in writing at consultation, transferable across the EU.

All warranties cover materials only and exclude biological-medical changes. The 20-year warranty refers to the ICX manufacturer guarantee — Medentis medical GmbH, Germany. Other implant systems (Straumann, Nobel Biocare) carry their own manufacturer warranties — we work with patient-requested systems on demand.
The ICX Implant Passport
Proof of originality, in your hand.
Every patient who receives an implant at Ars Salutaris leaves with a physical ICX Implant Passport. It contains:
- · The unique manufacturer serial number for every implant placed in your jaw
- · The manufacturer lot and UDI number
- · Date and location of placement
- · Treating surgeon's signature
- · A QR code / UDI reference for product traceability
From the passport, any dentist can identify exactly which implant was placed — manufacturer, model, and batch — for every implant in your mouth. This is what traceability actually means in implant dentistry. It is the difference between "trust us" and "verify for yourself."
Straumann and Nobel Biocare both ship with equivalent documentation if you specifically request one of those systems.

Why ICX is our default
German engineering, EU traceability, 20-year warranty.
ICX is manufactured by Medentis medical GmbH in Walporzheim, Germany. Medentis's quality management is TÜV Rheinland-certified (ISO 13485) and the implants are CE-marked under EU MDR. It is a widely used implant system in the EU; general implant-survival data report roughly 90–95% patient-level survival at around 9 years (Derks et al., Swedish population study, mixed systems), and its warranty terms are among the longest in modern implant dentistry.
We choose ICX as our default for two reasons: (1) the 20-year manufacturer warranty on the body and abutment materially outlasts the 5–10-year warranties most implant systems offer, and (2) Medentis ships the Implant Passport with every implant, which is the documentation Swedish dental tourists need to verify what they got.
If you specifically request Straumann or Nobel Biocare, we work with those systems on demand. Their warranties differ — typically 10–lifetime depending on the model — and we document the exact terms in your treatment agreement before placement.
